Stop the Teabaggers and Deficit Hawks!
NYC Demands Good Jobs and Economic Justice!
Thursday, September 16, 7-8:30pm
On Saturday, October 2, 2010, hundreds of thousands of Americans from across the country will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to march for jobs and equal rights for all. NYC Democratic Socialists of America and One Nation Working Together (ONWT), the coalition organizing the march, invite you to a public forum on September 16th to build support for the march and the creation of a mass movement to stop the teabaggers and deficit hawks and build a new economy that works for everyone. It’s time to stop blaming the unemployed when we have a “jobless recovery” and tons of people applying for each available job. It’s time to stop letting the teabaggers with their scaremongering message dominate the airwaves, and we must demand that our politicians protect vital public services like our subway system here in NYC and programs like social security that benefit us all. Learn why the march on Washington is so important, and how you can get involved.
